I'm an unabashed adult fan of LEGO. My boyfriend and I decided on this set because it was the best of all worlds: a junk-style ship that converts into an airship, with ninjas! Whether or not you follow the ninjago story, if you're into LEGO and fantasy themes, I highly recommend this set.The design of the ship is very well done - it's surprisingly sturdy and easy to build despite some features that I expected would have been a bit more complicated. A lever is designed to open the sails/wings when it is pulled down. The tail of the ship also turns downwards to convert into engines so that the ship becomes an airship. It's also equipped with a canon that fires LEGO cylinders and hidden compartments for daggers. The sails seem to be of a paper cloth material- sturdy enough but it will probably not survive heavy abuse from younger, less careful builders.
